M.K.’s Magnificent Seven
The British Trampoline Championships take place at the NIA, Birmingham on July 18th and 19th.
Throughout the season clubs have taken their best and boldest to reach for those elusive scores, which would book them a ticket in these Championships.
The Citizen has recorded the progress of Orbit Milton Keynes competitors since January, but we have two late additional qualifiers.
Showing her dedication, Laura Wright went all the way to Perth, Scotland where she jumped well enough to claim 5th. place on the day, and a place in the Nationals. A fine performance making the journey worthwhile.
This left just one more, Dayle Walker, who has been plagued by injury and bad luck all season, but her coach, Emma Bell never gave up on her, and they traveled North again, this time to South Shields for the last qualifying round before the Nationals. Like Laura, Dayle gave one of her best performances far from home, and secured her spot in the Nationals next month.
This completes the club’s compliment of seven, which we hope will be their lucky number.
We have Dayle Walker in the U15 Girls National C grade,
Rebekah Bridge and Sophie Myers in the U19 Girls National C,
And Laura Wright in the O19 Girls Fig B.
With our boys we have a team in the U19 National C grade of
Glyn Dickinson, Jez Billingham, and Thomas Johnson.
Good luck to them all on the 18th. July and in all their many training sessions leading up to that time.
